Electrical
Meier Architecture • Engineering provides complete electrical engineering services for many types of projects. Systems include lighting, power and special electrical systems. Services include system design, as well as bid phase assistance and construction administration. Whether your needs require analysis of existing systems, design for a new facility, or renovation and upgrade of existing electrical systems, Meier Architecture • Engineering can design the mechanical systems of your projects.
Energy Conservation Audits
Our engineers
also perform energy audits, which consider all energy end uses, energy
consumption by system and fuel type, a summary of operations, schedules
of systems, and efficiency of systems. Results are delivered in a
report that includes engineered energy solutions, opportunities for
off-the-shelf efficiency technologies, and detailed cost and energy
cost savings of any capital investments recommended.
PacifiCorp Energy Audits
Meier Architecture •
Engineering performed 27 Energy Audits to date throughout the western
United States for numerous school districts, cities, and hospitals for
the PacifiCorp’s Energy Savings program. The evaluations considered all
energy end uses, energy consumption by system and fuel type, a summary
of operations schedules of systems, and efficiency of systems. Results
were delivered in reports that included engineered energy solutions,
opportunities for off-the-shelf efficiency technologies, and detailed
cost and energy cost savings of any capital investments recommended.
Lighting recommendations have included: replacing inefficient
luminaries, installation of lighting controls, such as occupancy
sensors, and daylight harvesting sensors. Implementation of
recommendations has resulted in decreased HVAC equipment size and peak
electric demand loads.
Building 64 Remodel, Energy Northwest, Richland, WA
Meier Architecture • Engineering provided electrical engineering, as
well as full A/E design services for the remodel of a single-level,
33,600 SF, office building to provide office space for several
divisions of staff, large conference/assembly rooms, spaces for medical
and fitness-for-duty evaluations, engineering records storage,
reproduction equipment, restroom facilities, and miscellaneous
electrical and telephone/computer rooms. This project included the
demolition of the existing interior development, complete replacement
of all mechanical, power and lighting systems.
Ben Franklin Transit Site Planning/Bus Wash Design, Richland, WA
Electrical engineering and full A/E design services were provided by
Meier Architecture • Engineering for replacing underground fuel storage
and delivery systems with aboveground systems, constructing a fueling
and bus cleaning service center, and modifying the traffic flow and
parking configuration to accommodate site revisions at the operation
and maintenance headquarters for the bi-county transit system.
Electrical responsibilities included preparing the design and
specifications for the power and lighting systems for the new service
center and the site lighting to accommodate revised traffic and
expanded parking configurations.
